Do you ever get a word or phrase stuck in your head and start working it into as many conversations as possible? In college, one of mine was “totes” (as in “totally” not as in tote bag) which I now, obviously, find mortifying. But a recent one that started swirling around me feels less like valley girl slang and more like a life raft or totem that I’m cultivating with deep reverence.
I’ve not so subtly mentioned it to clients, friends, and generally anyone else within ear shot lately, and I’m most often met with wide eyes, but then knowing smiles, subtle nods of the head, and, when I’m lucky, exuberant YESES followed by powerful conversations.
What are these magic words, you might ask?
DIVINE
FEMININE
RAGE
A mantra of sorts.
The words first found me last month when someone I expected more from disappointed me. The trust I thought we had built disintegrated in a single text and left me reeling. Rather than, I don’t know, burning my house down (which I briefly contemplated) I took several other, decidedly smarter actions:
Explosive, neurotic texts to friends with lots of ❤️🔥 emojis
Screaming while punching a pillow (after the reminder from my bestie to move it through my body as much as possible and despite believing punching a pillow is cheesy)
Power walking wearing a weighted vest
Aggressive journaling (it looks exactly like what you’re picturing)
Aggressive painting (same, see result below)
None of these actions harmed anyone (although I have very kind, very patient friends) and while they also didn’t rid me of the feelings…I’m now more regulated.
While many intense feelings have been greeting me this year— I’ve witnessed similar powerful emotions unfolding for my clients and friends. It actually seems like every single woman I’ve interacted with lately has been (rightfully) pissed off about something and needing to express it.
There’s a lot of current astrology we could point to for this Divine Feminine Rage (cough cough, Venus Saturn conjunction). But I’ve also been thinking ahead, specifically to the upcoming Jupiter in Cancer transit (June 9th, 2025-June 29th, 2026) and how many astrologers are already singing its praises.
Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, by definition much “happier” than it is in Gemini where it currently resides. But I have a sneaking suspicion that happiness is not Jupiter in Cancer’s MO.
Cancer is, above all, about feeling in general— not feeling any one specific emotion. It’s yin energy, feminine energy. Ruled by the Moon…feelings for Cancer wax and wane constantly and as the Moon has no light of its own, said feelings are often a reflection of something else entirely/frequently misunderstood (even by the person having them).
Emotions are complicated and nuanced. Happiness is hopefully part of all of our emotional landscapes, but it can be fleeting and rarely exists in isolation. When was the last time that everything in your life was bringing you the singular feeling of happiness at the same time?
I say this not trying to burst Jupiter in Cancer’s backyard water balloon bubble, but to temper some expectations around the transit…and remind you as I remind myself that all feelings are valid and often coexisting.

Especially with what’s currently going on in the United States surrounding women’s health, the “womanosphere” and the declining birth rate…we can expect more and more (Jupiter’s influence) news surrounding women’s bodies and what they choose, or are forced, to do with them. It’s less of a “good news for women” transit and more of a “news about women that makes me feel *fill in the blank*” transit.
Now that we’ve looked a little closer at Jupiter in Cancer on its own, let’s layer on the additionally upcoming, partially coinciding transit that we’ll be getting introduced to just a couple weeks beforehand: Saturn in Aries.
Saturn enters Aries in less than one month (looking at you, my Saturn in Aries angels) on May 24th, just 16 days before Jupiter enters Cancer on June 9th. And just like emotions, a single astrology transit hardly exists in a vacuum.
We’ll have benefic Jupiter (defined as expansive) and malefic Saturn (defined as restrictive) in their new signs for all of July and August this year. It’s also interesting that Jupiter in Cancer is exalted, while Saturn in Aries is in fall…suggesting that we lean into the Jupitarian side of things as a potential balm for whatever the Saturnian side is lighting on fire.
I’ve been a subscriber to Alexis and Lilian’s YouTube for many years. From dating, to getting married, to their reciprocal IVF journey, and now their daughter’s impending birth, I’ve watched with googly eyes as their love story has unfolded in real time.
While, yes, a distinctly parasocial relationship, the BIG FEELINGS that came up in me when I watched this video recently were undeniable. Another way we can cope with our own Divine Feminine Rage is listening to other women’s stories/empathizing with their experiences/finding ways to take action to support them.
So as I’ve been saying for what feels like forever…this summer is a major one for all of us to watch. I believe women will be taking center stage, but again, with many big feelings about the space we’re taking up. Things are changing fast. Did I mention Uranus in Gemini will also begin over the summer (ingress July 7th)?
All this action is taking place in the earliest signs of the zodiac. The first fire sign (Aries), the first water sign (Cancer) and the first air sign (Gemini). Pay close attention to these houses in your own natal chart over the coming months to contextualize your own evolving storylines.
Don’t know what I’m talking about? But curious? Need support for your own Divine Feminine Rage (or know someone else who does)? Book a reading.
Through time and space,
Erin River Sunday
