This Week’s Tarot Reading
MIND: The Tower
BODY: Page of Pentacles
SPIRIT: Two of Pentacles
Let me begin by saying I wrote the entire newsletter before drawing cards for this week’s reading and…THE TOWER. Welp! It’s safe to expect upsets this week (though I have a feeling they will be tied with a bow) and it seems like you’re already thinking about them. The supportive Page of Pentacles, growing into the Two of Pentacles, says that you’re pursuing a foundational new beginning and hope to integrate it with the rest of your life. It’s a balancing act to be sure, but never doubt that it’s a fated one. Perhaps a new revenue stream or health routine will make itself known. Whatever it is, practicing radical honesty with yourself and others will encourage it to prosper.

This Week’s Astrology
Friday, April 29th: Pluto stations retrograde 28° Capricorn
Friday, April 29th: Mercury enters Gemini
Saturday, April 30th : 10° Taurus Eclipse (New Moon) @ 4:28 PM EST
Saturday, April 30th: Venus conjunct Jupiter 28° Pisces
What a WEEK! I don’t know about you, but I can feel the energy building. While the start of the week is pretty quiet, by the weekend, everything is hitting its boiling point. The Eclipse is the highlight, but everything is sort of happening all at once. Communication will go from slow and steady to absolutely frenetic. We all want to pursue pleasure and will be forced to unearth the things getting in the way of it…but at what cost?

I can’t believe I’m saying it…but I’ve become a puzzle person.
I skipped last week’s newsletter for the first time since I launched back in February, and on the same day, I bought a puzzle.
I’ve never had the patience for puzzles before. Frankly, I never really saw the point in them and if you’re an entrepreneur yourself, you’ll likely understand the tunnel vision that can accompany running your own business. I eat, sleep, and breathe spirituality.
I tend to juggle several books at once and had two new ones find me this weekend: Women Who Run With the Wolves (finally!!!) and The Way of Integrity.
I’ve also been completely engrossed in One Mind (which I discovered writing a recent newsletter about premonitions). These books are read in my “free time” but always lead me to making notes and Googling things to use for work.
Which speaking of…I’m SO EXCITED to officially be writing seasonal horoscopes for Birthdate Co.! Read your Taurus Season Horoscope here (and if it resonates, please share it with friends).
Clearly my “hobbies” are rarely indistinguishable from my work, so when a radically unexpected love of puzzles found me recently...I didn’t take it as a coincidence.

I don’t believe in time, in that because of my psychic abilities I know it to be a complete illusion and generally irrelevant. The author of One Mind, Dr. Larry Dossey, talks about the Internet being a prime example of a modern arena where we’ve actually embraced and optimized that understanding- that time and space aren’t exactly real.
Instead, with the Internet (currently experiencing its Saturn Return), we rely on a searchable database completely free of time and space. I believe that’s no different than our human experience…we’re just told to think otherwise.
Alas, real or not, the timing of this past week was pivotal for me and if I’m going to subscribe to it, I’ll happily do so by following lunar transits as our ancestors did.
I thought it was interesting that, less than two weeks before an Eclipse, I discovered a surprisingly non-work related hobby and deleted my Instagram (more on that in a future newsletter).
While I decidedly eclipsed one thing out of my life, something more aligned also presented itself. In short, I didn’t choose the puzzle life, the puzzle life chose me (and if I was going to have a tombstone that would need to be inscribed).
I’ve realized that Eclipses, quite literally in this case, can act as pieces falling into place.
Eclipses are tied to the Nodes of the Moon, otherwise known as Rahu and Ketu, and are extremely karmic points in the birth chart. Their happenings are seemingly random and almost always surprising…but also tend to usher in, often by ushering out, the very thing you’re looking for that makes everything else click into place.
I believe a person’s entire chart is reflective of their karmic journey (and please for the love of goddess remember that karma isn’t inherently bad) but certain planets and points display karmic moments more acutely than others.
And Eclipses? They’re LOUDLY karmic.
Eclipse babies, as well as Cancer placements (ruled by the Moon) and Leo placements (ruled by the Sun) are especially prone to major life changes corresponding to Eclipses. But even if you’re not one of those things, it’s safe to expect major changes during Eclipse Season/Eclipse Portals- the liminal space between Eclipses.
The first Eclipse of the year, this weekend, lands in Taurus. It’s ruled by an exalted Venus in Pisces and it looks…weirdly sweet? I’m cautiously optimistic and encourage you to be, too. Just remember that Eclipses are always about shifts of fate, and unexpected shifts, even “good” ones, tend to be jarring for us little Earthlings.
I’m hopeful that this weekend will offer a surprising bounty, but that said, if you drink, do drugs, etc., please consider boundaries as part of it. There’s a LOT of Pisces energy floating around and escaping via external sources can escalate quickly. This energy is prone to extreme and disorienting excess and with an Eclipse…that feels ominous. I’m just going to say it: drug overdoses come to mind.
While I was writing, the song All Too Well started playing in my head. I assumed it was because of the lyric “Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place” but I also know things to be more than they seem, so I did a little research.
I knew the song originally came out years ago, but that Swift had released her own version, so that she would have control of the rights, much more recently. Something (read: my intuition) told me I needed to find out that date.
Swift released the 10 minute version (which is how she originally wrote it) and an accompanying music video she directed on November 12th, 2021. There was an Eclipse one week later, on November 19th, 2021.
There’s no need for manifestation techniques now, or any sort of plan for what’s ahead. Our job, perhaps as always, is to just witness and let our divinely timed pieces fall into place.
Until next week’s magic,
Erin River Sunday
