I was unwrapping my latest East Fork purchases on Tuesday (be still, my heart) and while I was removing the copious amounts of packaging keeping my new little vessels safeā¦I stepped back and realized it looked like a massive snake skin.
I have a special affinity for snakes and the symbolism hit different knowing it was a Full Moon in Scorpioā closing out an especially intense eclipse season.
The excessive material ultimately provided a beautiful reflection:
The fluff wasnāt just fluff. It had a purpose, albeit a temporary one. The snake skin was inevitably going to be outgrown, but before it was, it safely transported important materials to their ultimate destination. Thanks to all that packaging, I could access the unharmed vessels nestled inside that I will go on to love for many, many Moons.
Rather than bitch about just how much there was to clear away before getting to the good stuffā¦I was able to express gratitude for the process instead.
The past month has been intense and if youāre feeling raw/suffering from an energy hangoverā¦yeah! Youāre right on time. Snakes shed their skin in private because it makes them feel vulnerable, and us humans should allow ourselves the same quiet time to reflect and process our new growth.
Iāve admittedly been feeling pretty sick this week and itās not lost on me that needing to cancel plans has provided more space for me to acknowledge the changes Iāve navigated lately. I am but a baby snake integrating her newest skin!
Maybe you, too, experienced moments where things went awry recently and you were challenged to rise to the occasion. Maybe you had to let go of some people, places, or things that were no longer serving your best interest. Maybe by subtracting what was āoffā in your life, you ultimately added more value.
Some good news? Things are ready to settle in. Our latest transformation process has culminated and itās now time to wake up each day ready to integrate our new skins. May is a time for growing, slowly, into what weāve manifested.
Lucy and I published a few more episodes of
