I had a hot date last week (eclipse season is full of surprises) and at my request after dinner, we went for dessert at a chocolate shop. Did I need ice cream? Absolutely not. Did I want it when I saw it in front of me? Absolutely.
I was having a magical time…and I wanted much more. Much more sweetness. Much more love. Much more chocolate!
“You're not the same as you were before. You used to be much more… muchier…you've lost your muchness.” – Mad Hatter
Muchness is a Jupitarian idea. Wherever Jupiter falls in your birth chart is where you’re likely to experience the feelings of MUCHNESS. It’s the place in our lives (both personally and collectively) that doesn’t have a boundary, that wants to explore, and that always leaves us wanting more.
Jupiter is currently in Taurus, which relates to the Earth and our food systems. It also relates to financial systems and our sense of stability within them. And while Jupiter is known as “the great benefic” for being ever expanding…when it meets with another planet, it simply expands that planet’s qualities.
Which is why it’s important to note that next week, Jupiter will meet Uranus for the first time in 13 years. But before we go there, here’s a handy list of all the upcoming Jupitarian MUCHNESS dates you might want to note.
2024 Jupiter Transits:
April 20-21st: Jupiter conjunct Uranus 21° Taurus
May 18th: Sun conjunct Jupiter 28° Taurus
May 23rd: Venus conjunct Jupiter 29° Taurus
May 24th: Jupiter sextile Neptune 29° Pisces
May 25th: Jupiter enters Gemini
June 2nd: Jupiter trine Pluto 1° Aquarius
August 14th: Mars conjunct Jupiter 16° Gemini
August 19th: Jupiter square Saturn 17° Pisces
September 15th: Venus in Libra trine Jupiter 20° Gemini
October 9th: Jupiter retrograde 21° Gemini
December 24th: Jupiter square Saturn 14° Pisces
Ok, so, first up. The Jupiter Uranus conjunction.
What does that mean? It means our friend Jupiter, Queen of MUCH, is going to be in exact alignment (aka in a conjunction) with Uranus.
What does Uranus do? It’s a planet that brings surprises! When Uranus shows up on the scene, unpredictability and instability do too. It’s concerned with moving towards the future and isn’t afraid to upset the status quo to get there. In fact, it enjoys shaking things up…sometimes, quite literally.
Here’s a freaky little equation I made up to demonstrate an example from last week:
Jupiter(MORE) x Taurus(Earth)+ Uranus(Surprise!) = NYC Earthquake
When we experience a Jupiter transit (refer to any of the dates above) it’s like the Universe saying you wanted cake, you got cake! NOW EAT IT.
Like Bruce, there’s an area of your life this month where you’re being served up a big, fat chocolate cake (substitute your delicacy of choice) and it’s probably landing on your plate in a way you didn’t expect.
It looks delicious and you’ve been craving it, but you know that consuming it all at once will likely give you a tummy ache. Or maybe you just ate and you’re super full…but here it is anyway. The Universe, your friendly server, says SURPRISE! Here it is!!! Didn’t you wish for this?
At minimum, this energy is unsettling. It might feel intimidating and like it’s just too much all of a sudden. Both personally and collectively, there’s simply MUCHNESS in the air.
Lucy and I are currently in different countries, but KMA can’t be stopped! If you’d like to support our work (thank you in advance <3), please subscribe to our YouTube channel. Likes and comments always help, too. Most recently we talked about Pluto in Aquarius and Kristin Cavallari’s birth chart.
I’m going to see Civil War on Saturday night (which, ahem, is being released on April 12th— the same day the Civil War began in the U.S. in 1861…163 years ago…average age of an empire is 250 years…just making sure you’re paying attention).
Mercury is still retrograde for two more weeks so I would encourage not taking anything too seriously, but, also, always pay attention. Catch you on the astral till next time.
Through time and space,
Erin River Sunday
