Writing to you from yesterday morning, where I’m currently crying in my bed. CUE THE DRAMA OF ECLIPSE SEASON!
My Sun is in Cancer, so the stereotype is that I’m a cry baby. Which, frankly, tends to be true. But I haven’t cried (a good cry…iykyk) in months. It feels like I cried all of last year, but this year nothing had been flowing. Till now! And I would argue it’s right on time.
We just experienced a lunar eclipse on Monday, and if you’re not sure what that means, may I suggest the latest episode of Kiss My Astral?
Lucy and I spent some time talking about what eclipses are and how they’re tied to the nodes of the Moon. We all have a north and south node in our birth chart, and especially when eclipses happen, they can be potent areas of discovery.
Because we’re still reeling from the south node eclipse that began the week…my tears (and maybe yours!) are reflecting the current astrology. The south node is about release, after all, and in Libra— it’s about relationships. You might find yourself letting go (physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually) in your one on one partnerships right now.
Astrology can feel overwhelming, but eclipses really are pretty straight forward. They’re tied to the energy of the Sun and Moon, and both luminaries directly influence life on Earth. When they’re not operating like normal— we aren’t either. Science!
So, pay close attention to what’s unfolding in your life and the lives of those you love. Eclipses have a funny way of manipulating time (which we know isn’t linear anyway, right?) and speeding up fated events. If you’re a calendar girlie, you can specifically note March 17th - April 14th as weeks to watch. There are powerful opportunities for beginnings and endings within that window…both personally and collectively.
This is a heightened time full of inevitabilities that will likely feel out of your control. And whether we actually ever have any control or just the illusion of it…this shit is exhausting. Try to rest as much as you can and be especially gentle with yourself and others. The Universe will handle the rest.
I’ll be back in touch soon, but for now, try to be present, cry if you need to, and I’ll catch you on the astral until the next one.
Through time and space,
Erin River Sunday
